Okay, so I know the pool table in episode #115 "The Hustler" does not really belong to Bobby, but in the end the Brady parents decide to get rid of it. During the episode however, Bobby becomes quite fond of the game of pool, not to mention quite talented. After he beats Mike's boss at the game, Mike and Carol both decided to get rid of the table because they have no room for it. At the time they make the decision, Bobby had gone up for bed. At this point the episode ends, but don't you think Bobby would have been slightly upset at losing the table?

In the real world he would have been absolutely furious but in Bradyland slightly upset just about covers it. It was a shame because Bobby did seem to have a real talent for the game. It's a harrowing thought that if his parents had only been more encouraging he might have become a professional pool player and would still have the use of his legs.

It's a harrowing thought that if his parents had only been more encouraging he might have become a professional pool player and would still have the use of his legs. I almost spit out my juice after reading that. Pool doesn't seem like a very wholesome activity to me. In the movies it always leads to gambling, cigarettes and thick mustaches.

They'd already been covered by the time Bobby took up pool though. As long as Mike could rehash the lectures from '54-40 and Fight', 'Where There's Smoke' and 'Peter and the Wolf' he'd be fine. Actually I don't know if he specifically mentioned Pete's mustache but I'm sure he could improvise something.

I saw "The Hustler" last night. I've always enjoyed this episode, as I can relate to it myself. I own a pool table and at one stage I was playing it - morning, noon and night! Bobby had so much talent with the game, how could Mike and Carol take his dream away from him? *sigh* shame on you both!

Dunno, but it was a lot in the end!! Maybe winning it all took his mind off the pool table.
