TVShowsOnDVD.com is reporting that "Paramount/CBS has decided to provide an inexpensive single-DVD release of The Brady Bunch, for those retailers and consumers who prefer to avoid filling the shelves up with big season sets." The 7 episode set will be released October 3rd. Source: www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=6115

This is pretty usless to me, since I have all of the seasons on DVD, but for those who only want some specific episodes, its a great buy for that price!!

So that's a quarter of the season for half the price of the entire season, doesn't seem like that great a deal. I'd be astounded if the first few sell enough to justify releasing the rest of the series. Now if it had been a 'Best Of' set for each character they might have been on to something.

Now if it had been a 'Best Of' set for each character they might have been on to something. Now, thats an intresting idea. What do you think are the best episodes that focus on each character?

Okay I'll give it a shot. For each set seven episodes seems about right, after all you wouldn't want to short change the people that bought the season sets.

Bobby

I'll sidestep Cindy because you're far more qualified than I am to make such a selection.
Mike

Alice
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore The Big Sprain Alice's September Song Sergeant Emma Goodbye, Alice, Hello The Elopement Top Secret
That was more difficult than I thought it would be, with the kids it was a case of which episodes can I leave out but for the adults it was a real challenge just finding seven for each of them. I'd admit that some of the links are tenuous at best and even the notion of including either Mike's Horror-Scope or You're Never Too Old on a 'Best Of' volume is frankly absurd. Ah well, would anyone really want a Best Of Mike DVD anyway?

Hats off to you! It's not easy having to select a "best of" for each character, but you seemed to do a great job of it. Ever consider working for Paramount?
Oh, and before I forget, I'll include the official best of for my dear Cindy:
Cindy
Eennie, Meennie, Mommy, Daddy (Poor Prince Victor!) Kitty Karry All Is Missing (Rockabye baby...) The Tattle Tale (You stop that Buddy Hinton!!) Lights Out (Or lights on, as Cindy would like it) Cindy Brady, Lady (Why did I have to be born so young?) The Great Earring Caper (Cindy, the last thing you need is two more holes in your head!) The Snooperstar (I HAVE to start being Shirley Temple right away!!)
And that's all folks!!!
