Cousin Oliver appeared in a few episodes in late Season 5. What did you think of him? I personally didnt find him overly funny. Bringing him onto the show wasnt a good move in my opinion. With him in many of the scenes, I think some of the other Brady kids had less camera time.

Maybe it's just me, but I always found him to be a really creepy kid. I've also seen him guest star on the later seasons of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. He seems to show up on the set of diffrent shows as they are about to go off air. It's like he's some bad luck omen...

If he'd proved to be the difference maker in the show being renewed for at least another season I'm sure I could have learned to tolerate him but as it is he's like a digital watch in a Western, it's obvious he doesn't belong. He wasn't just superfluous though, he was downright unlikeable. However I feel the blame for that falls squarely on the shoulders of his parents. Clearly he had a troubled upbringing if his parents didn't even care enough about him to drop him off at his new home themselves before fleeing to South America or, more than likely, they were just too busy changing their locks and converting Oliver's room into a study.

I though he was ok but I think the show could have made it without him. I haven't really watched any episodes with him in it though. I wish they did what the writers of Full House Did and not make him a big part of the plot line. Full House lasted quite a while longer after they added in some extra characters and that could have been the reason. However there where quite a few episodes where Jesse's wife and kids were part of the main plot line but still. It made sense that they added in those extra characters. But I could tolerate Oliver when I saw him a little bit in one episode from season 5.
